Is there much interest in the 1930's vintage Matchbooks--Silver and Tan Series 1-6 ?
I did try to complete most / all when I picked up over 200+ of them in alot from a shop owner about 10 years ago but haven't seen much of them discussed or any auction listings.
May just give up--
Nice looking 'Diamonds.' Do you happen to have a Tan Type 3 or Tan Type 6? I'm trying to get one of each subset. By the way there are a batch of Tan Type 1s and 2s on eBay now - presume you've checked them out.
--Does anyone know if any of these items were "short-printed" as I am having dificulty finishing my Type 5/ 6 Tan set--
Missing one Cully Dahlstrom--
Check my other resources and even they don't have one
Anyone familar with the Tan sereis know that a lot of similarityes and slight "differances"---
OK also my dilema-
Series 5 and 6 are identical players with the same player listing and card set up--picture--text etc.--
ONLY differance you wouldn't be able to tell unless you had a complete Matchbook as--
Series 5 --TAN MATCH TIPS
Series 6--BLACK MATCH TIPS-
As having 2 near complete sets with the exection of a Dahlstrom and a couple singles for one set--
Would you as a collector Keep both and say you have series 5 AND 6?
or Would you if you have BOTH 5 AND 6 BUT one set of "Cards"?
Hope that came out right--
Any input would be appreciated.-
