Tell me something about the V145-1 Bert Corbeau card

It's his rookie card. Does anybody have one? Can you tell me something about the player? How about the card itself,is it rare. Why are SMR prices so high for it. Who did he play for? What was his career like?

Greg. This card is scarce because the set was redeemable for a prize. This is the card that was shortprinted to make it tough to get the prize. Maybe MikeQ can manage to get a scan for us of this and some other selsom seen cards. Jim.

I don't know anyone personally who has one, however, I am aware others on the board do know. The fact (or supposition) that it was shortprinted (don't know that it's ever been proven) and that those few were probably redeemed for the prize make it very, very rare.

Thanks for the info Jim. I was wondering how a non-HOF player's card could be so high priced and scarce. Signed Greg ps I'll check psa registry to see if there's a set there with photos.
