I feel this intro is like talk radio - Long time reader, first time writer. With the little whirl wind that happened on the board this week, I will start by saying I am a collector, NOT a dealer or an investor- a COLLECTOR. I don't want to sound too over the top, but I thought it might be necessary. My father was a dealer in Pittsburgh for 20, so my brother and I have it in our blood. I started collecting vintage hockey 20 years ago(when i was 14) at a show in Toronto. I bought 6 Maple Crispette's for $150.00, and I haven't stopped since.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank Jim, because I think this forum is a great resource for collectors. I hope I can contribute.

Steve, I couldn't agree more with you about PSA. There is nothing worse than paying money to a company for an arbitrary number.

I have partial sets of Paulin's, Wm Patterson (V145-1), Champ's, V252, and V129. I have been thinking about starting on some others. Maybe a World Wide Gum or V145-2. I have also been thinking about starting one of the Lacrosse sets. I bought a really nice C60 Lalonde a couple months ago. My card collection includes just about anything pre-1970.

Great sets Scott. I have a fair number of dupelicate V252s - they are all shown on the PSA Registry - I'd trade any of my #2 or #3 set cards for similar condition V129s or V128-1 Paulins.
