I saw this piece on one of the first pages of Bobby's book and said that if i ever see it for sale I'm getting it. I must have had a horse shoe up my you know what because it showed up in an auction a few days later. Lot just finished a few minutes ago.

Thanks Steve, it was pure luck. In the same auction was this item mixed into a lot of mish mash. Correct me if I am wrong but this is the first 1959 Topps box to surface.

I put a bid in on it in the first few days, and almost pulled the trigger again near the end. Only thing holding me back was the postmark that was on the front. I thought it went for a very reasonable price. Now that you have it, maybe one day I'll be able to see it in person.

I didn't mind the postmark, it gives the piece character. I was actually surprised at the price and was prepared to be bid up alot more. You can come down and see it anytime. Jim.
