Take a look at that picture, I own a high graded SGC Orr RC and always thought that it was an eyelash or something ... but then one day I saw a BVG MINT or GEM MINT Orr RC on eBay that had the same thing ... do all of them have it ?
Looks like you are right. That does look like an eyelash. If it bothers you, I would call SGC to see if they will re-holder it for you. They may do it for free since they didn't catch that before sending it out.
I see it. It starts on the man in the gold jacket and arcs up 2 rows of fans towards the border.
If that was a hair, would you not be able to tell? Would it not move around in the slab?
Could it be a faint mark that was missed?
That is so weird. Because I am 100% sure I saw a high grade BVG Orr rc that had the same problem. Trust me guys , it's NOT an eyelash . I wonder if anyone knows the reason behind this ? Did some employee at Topps have his eyelash fall onto the press plate where a few thousand of these cards got affected ? This is very strange ...
Just looked at Joe Orlando's Top 200 Sportscards in the hobby book and on page 391 they show Brian Seigel's PSA 8 Orr RC that has the same marking on it as well.
Seigel is the owner of the PSA 8 Wagner in case you didn't know

That's an interesting observation. I have noticed that some of the Orr test cards have the same (but slightly lighter) black "eyelash" mark. I wonder if it could be considered a legitimate variation.
