HOF Rookie set

I see that psa added the 1939 and 1940 OPC cards to the Hall Of Fame set. Was that people bugging them to do it or did they figure they could sell more grading? I also noticed that they did not remove the cards that these ones should be replacing. It will be interesting to see what effect this has on pricing. Jim.

See the similarity of this issue (although Baseball), I think this could possibly be the manufacturer of the hockey!!?

Jim,

Obviously the 1939-41 OPC are the true cards for this set. However, when PSA finally created the 5" x 7" insert for the T3 holder which allowed these cards to be graded they said they will not take any cards out of this set that had previously been part of it because they won't upset collectors by leaving them with new holes.

So to answer you question ...both cards can fill the requirement because PSA is more worried about politics than facts. It is one of the many reasons this collector deleted ever set he owned from the registry. That was over 70 different sets at one time.
