Merry Christmas. I knew I would eventually get a negative because you can't make everyone happy, but this one is an outright lie. This guy has filed 2 claims against me and lost both. The tracking number says he got the item a couple days after I sent it and he refused to co-operate with Canada Post on a follow up investigation. You guys should add this guy to your blocked bidder list cause he isn't worth the headache. My ebay id is jp_vintage_sports Jim.
eBay's feedback system is a great concept, but much like socialism, it rarely works the way they had envisioned.
I have 2 neg's also. The one the really bothers me is the 2nd one. I got it about a year ago. I posted some books on Half.com. Somebody decided to purchase a book while I was on vacation. He submitted his agreement to buy the book for the set price and I had to respond within 3 days. I didn't see my email, so at the end of the 3 days the sale was automatically cancelled. He needed the book and got angry, and left me negative feedback! I tried contacting him, offered to send him the book... He never responded. Luckily, most people have gotten a negative comment or 2 over years, so if your rating is high and the percentage of positives is 98%-99%, then most people ignore that.
His feedback is all positive including one from me. I believe that he did not get his item, but he mishandled the issue and I end up with a negative even though I went out of my way twice to help him. The tracking number says that the item was delivered but he says he is part of a community mailbox. Right away he suspected the postal worker stole the item and went to the post office and caused a stink. When they didn't do anything for him he called the 1-800 number and started arguing with them. All he had to do was email me and I, as the sender could open an inquiry. By the time he got around to telling me or rather threatening me out of the blue, the post office wanted nothing to do with him and opened an inquiry for me. He would not co-operate and give Canada Post some info that they needed to continue saying he "will handle it himself" . He obviously got nowhere so he came back at me with an item not received dispute on ebay. He lost. He opened some type of ebay buyer protection claim and lost that too. There is tracking that says he received it. This person had bizarre behaviour all the way through this. I emailed him my phone number so he could call me and we can talk. He called trying to bully me with empty threats instead of giving me info that Canada Post can use. He emailed me a couple of times today also, saying crap like he is going to file a fraud complaint and "expect a visit". 99.999% of people on ebay are good but I'll tell you, that .0001% is really testing my patience. Jim.
My first negative came when someone sold me tampered Topps hockey packs and then left me the negative because I left it for him, I can't stand the fact that ebay doesnt let you appeal feedbacks like that. There response to me was we don't know how you treated the seller and maybe it was deserved!
