They are:

I'd be interested in hearing what you two think is a fair price for a PSA 7 and PSA 8 Hull rookie? I think Harvey is overpriced on his PSA 8 but I also think SMR is way under on both a 7 and an 8. You just don't see many of these in high grade.
Harvey at AJ Sportscards has the most overpriced cards EVER! He also trys to give people next to dog crap for their cards or trades - beware!
I am very surprised he even sells to people with his prices. I am also surprised he is still in business with his crazy prices! Then again I guess he charges so much for his cards he makes up for it in lost business from the smart buyers.
Harvey is always overpriced but to tell you the truth, I don't think that 8 is that much over what I would expect to see it sell for in an auction. I don't think anyone would be surprised if that card sold for $10-12k in a good auction. 7's are a little tougher to price because the centering can vary much more than an 8. Jim.
I think a PSA 7 Hull rookie with no qualifiers should sell for $4000.00
A PSA 8 should be around $6000.00. If you look at PSA you will see there is a lot of 7's and 8 and a few 9's.
I would be happy with just one of them.
IMO....I don't think $4000 and $6000 would be considered "paying well" for those cards. They really don't come up very much at all in higher grades and I would be very happy to pay more than the price that you mentioned for a PSA8.

I think $10k isn't out of line for an 8. At $6k I'll take two. I'm not kidding.
As far as the PSA pops go, I wouldn't believe those numbers. I would bet they're inflated because people would crack and re-submit a card of that value if they think it can be upgraded. The flips are rarely returned to PSA. Besides, even if they do exist that doesn't mean much if they rarely come up for sale. I have tracked this market for years and rarely have I seen 7's, 8's, or 9's.
If you really want one I doubt you'll win an auction unless you bid a good deal higher than you quoted here. But I do wish you luck.
Tom

I've turned down a recent offer of $4500 for this PSA 7. But that's mainly because I believe this will cross to an 8. I'll likely cross it at the National this year.
There is a psa 6 st on the bay now . The st is for a wax stain on the back side. Is this the type of wax stain that will wipe off the card? In looking at the scan I can not see how it would wipe off a non glossy surface.
I still don't see a market for a PSA 8 Hull at 10K.
I just don't believe the market has appreciated that much over the
past couple of years. I have tracked sales on this card for years as
it has been on my wantlist forever.
It is true that you do not see them come up for auction very much.
I still believe the market for a 7 is between $2800-$3200
I think the market for an 8 would be around $7500 at most
The last 8 that was on ebay was about 3-4 years ago, and that sold for a little over 5K.
The most I have ever seen a 7 sell for was $3495, and that was on a buy-it-now that BMW listed. That 7 was almost as nice as the one Tom has.
Tom, you have the nicest 7 that I have ever seen, but if you were
offered $4500, I believe it was only because the person offering it felt pretty good about getting it bumped to an 8.
Well, I've been wrong before, and there's a pretty good chance that I'll be wrong again
I would have overpayed for your 7 also, knowing that it has a good shot at an 8. I sometimes tend to get too caught up in the grade rather than the card itself.
