Some interesting ebay results for mid-grade Parkhurst sets on ebay.
1961/62- $2550
1962/63- $3050
1963/64- $2376

All went to the same bidder but it took others to get the bidding to these levels. I always thought that sets went cheap on ebay but I didn't expect this kind of action on these particular sets. Any thoughts? Jim.

Those are indeed strong prices for those sets in those conditions. The buyer has had an Ebay account for a little over a month and has dropped in excess of 11K in that time. Could be a case of a deep pocketed newbie who finally discovered Ebay and is buying up childhood sets without doing his homework. I have been considering moving my 62 set for a while now and would consider that a serious offer.

61 to 63 parkies

Yes Jim, it seems like lot of money for these sets in the grade they are. These sets have become popular in the last 2 years with collectors especially the graded 8 cards. I have noticed that the 1960 parkies set has really picked up in the bidding wars on the graded 8's and the odd graded 9 that has emereged.

It is strange, but following the 60's sets, more often than not, when a complete set comes up that is mid grade seems to surprisingly sell for alot of money.

The early 60's parkies are my favorite cards even know
" I love them all "
