A very sad fact about the Georges Vezina family. He and his wife had 24 children and ONLY 2 of them lived long enough to see adulthood. The others died in their infancy.
Imagine how he must have felt on a daily basis going through this and was still able to go out and play as he did before he himself died of tuberculosis in 1926.
It is stories like this that make me appreciate him more. It also makes me grateful for the things that we have compared to what people were going through 100 years ago. I'm curious to know how many people here didn't know this about Georges.
