worst ever?

There was nothing interesting for me, although I collect a narrow range, 1966 to 1969 hockey. A bit choked at paying $35 for Mike Bossy's autograph, although I'm sure it's nothing to do with him personally. I was a Hab fan of the late '70's, so any Islander is not in my top ten for autographs....

Neither Gerry C from MOntreal, nor Len Pottie from NS were there

I feel a bit like a snob when I see a card with paper loss offered at only 60% "book," like it's supposed to be a good deal...

There was a bikini clad Raquel Welch, circa 1972 that was autographed...that was the only thing that caught my eye today.

HOpe some others can tell us of some finds. Bossy seemed very nice, very willing to take pictures and shake hands with everyone.

Dan. I was talking to someone earlier and heard that it was a very weak show and that both Gerry and Len bailed out. Not a good sign.

The autograph fee is a combination of the players fee, flight, hotel and any other costs. And hopefully a bit of a profit for the promoter which is usually taken in signed pieces and not realized for months if not years for a common autograph guest. Taking prices from a few years ago and adding abit for inflation, I estimate it cost about $10000-$12000 to have Bossy sign for about 3 hours.
Jim.

Remember back in October, I was complaining about having to pay $25 for Cournoyer's autograph...

I would think that it would cost at least 10k to have Bossy come in.. let alone hotel, flight, meals, limo or some other means of transportation on top of that.. $35 to meet a player like Bossy, shake their hand, get a pic taken, say a few words and get an autograph is well worth the fee imo.
