Ronald,

Nice card. Thank you to Steve (jacklitsch) for sending you over to this forum. I've blown up your pic. It looks authentic. I'm not sure about the left border from the front pic since there is a slight waviness on the upper end of the left border. I don't see it on the back pic at that same place. It may be just the pic. If it's not trimmed, I would grade the front a Ex. However, the paper loss on the back would bring it to a VG (or a low-end VG-Ex). It's still desirable regardless of the grade, less so if it were trimmed. Good luck.

Hi, I am relatively new to the pre-war hockey market --- I have specialized in
cards and photos since 1960 primarily. Have you seen similar grade Ross C55's sell recently? Any idea as to a rough price range assuming not trimmed?

Sincerely,
R Haynes

I've seen 2 VG-EX with back damage sell in the last 2 years - first went for $255 on 3/16/05 and the second for $150 on 6/4/06. A PSA 3 went for $493 on 4/3/05 and 6 PSA 4s have sold in the last three years ranging from a high of $550 to a low of $399.
