Yes, the #1 and #66 cards are tough to find in higher grade and bring quite a premium, especially the #66 Schmidt.
In addition, there are some low pop. cards that are also bringing in much more than you might expect. I do know that the Bonin #59 is one of them. I have actually seen it sell for $1000+, and just a few days ago one sold on eBay for over $650.
I don't know which other cards go for a premium like this, except for the Leswick #45. It isn't a low pop. card at all, but the price is ridiculous!
I'm sure that someone else will be more familiar with which cards sell for a premium, but I don't think that any are listed as SP.
Thanks for the info! I seen some of the prices and have also seen 2 Chystal and 44 go very high and I have many collectors I know who are looking for them for their sets? Maybe just due to low Pop reports?
I just checked the pop. report. The #2 card is a lower pop. card, but the #44 really isn't! It's funny when you check the actual pop. report, there aren't any cards that seem overly rare, but some have lower numbers than the others. Many people tend to forget that the pop. report changes all the time. Cards that were once lower pop. cards catch up with the average numbers many times, but the sellers will still continue to list these as low pop. cards!
When a lower pop. card sells for a premium on eBay, there will often be a surge of people submitting raw versions to PSA in order to cash in on the demand.
Even though the numbers on the pop. report may catch up, that doesn't mean that the price will come back to a normal level!
