yearly beckett hockey blunderNovember 28 2007 at 3:50 PM | donald (Login danthevintageman) |
| i purchased my yearly hockey beckett issue #17. i was very disappointed to see that beckett had a huge blunder in the book. the subjects starting after the letter "I" or itg products is all missing to almost the letter "P" *some of 90's OPC are in there*. that means stuff like most of opc, kraft and other products is missing (57 pages in total). the bulk of my collection is based on opc so i returned the book and got my money back. beckett does have the missing pages on there web site which you can download to the computer. for me this is not good enough so i will not bother with the yearly guide this year as i do not want an incomplete guide. it must have been a big embarrassment for beckett. being one of the price guide leaders in the sports hobby, they got to be more sharp. just thought i let everyone know before they waste there time and money on this book. |

Wow--Thanks for the update.
I actually saw the new Beckett this week and almost bought it! I would have really been disappointed to find a bunch of pages missing.
My current Beckett is 2 years old and I really wasn't sure that I needed another yet since the pre war card prices don't change that much in the Beckett. I decided to wait another year or so, but I'll definitely make sure that I get a verification that it's complete before I buy another one.

Ya, I bought one for a friend and now he says he doesn't want it because all the pages are missing. Now I have to try and get my money back, oh brother! |

If anyone does have the new annual Beckett, I'm curious about the prices for the C56 set. My Beckett is from 2006, and the prices are extremely low for those cards vs. graded versions.
I'm curious about the prices in the new Beckett. If anyone has it, could you scan the page for me?
Thanks,
Earl |
