Howdy:Earl Strohmeyer cued me about this forum and I thought I'd give it a try. I have almost stopped visiting Beckett's vintage forum because there just doesn't seem to be much activity there. Seems like most traders on Beckett think hockey originated when Sidney Crosby was born. I don't have a great deal of vintage to trade but would be happy to hear from anyone who is interested in trading. Since I am new here I don't have any references in this forum. I am registered on E-bay and you can check me out there if you wish. My E-bay ID is member_1164968. I have currently completed the 61/62 Parkhurst set, the 59/60 Topps set and the 69/70 OPC sets and am working on all the rest with a handfull needed here and there to finish them. I don't required NM cards but would consider them and most of the cards I have to trade would also not be NM with the exception of some 79/80 Bobby Hull Topps cards. While I haven't had much luck on the Beckett pages I did trade 59 different SOTT cards to a fellow for 20 64/65 Topps Tall Boys and also purchased a 33/34 Ice Kings card of King Clancy from another guy. Please e-mail me at tedormiston@hotmail.com if you would like to talk a trade or just gab.
Welcome to the forum. You'll find a ton of great information here for a lot of the hobbies best. You should make up a list of what you need and what you have as "trade bait" that way its easy for people to try and work something out with you.
I remember you from the Beckett boards, I tried a few posts on their vintage boards too but found this place and never went back; I would agree that it (and the magazine) is definitely not the best place to be if your tastes run to older cards. I haven't looked at a Beckett in years and don't really see any reason to. This is a good place, lots of knowledge and some big collectors. Not a lot of OT discussion like some other boards but that's ok with me (I'd just end up fighting with Elmar anyway).
