"I agree with Mark! The Joliat is not a PSA 8 the corners look like PSA 6! The Morenz's looks more like a 4!"
make that three guys.
the morenze looks to have some kind of a stain on the right border.it even looks like a nick of paper is scuffed off.the joliat is a solid 6 or close 7 at best.
sometimes i wonder about psa, sometimes they over grade and sometimes they undergrade.hmmmm?
it is a great bonus though that damir has those cards at those grades as once there slabbed thats the grade they will be!!!
congrats on the nice pick ups anyway damir, they are nice cards !!

What John said! Damir - having Morenz and Joliat rookies is way cool and decent examples of v145-1s are very hard to find. If they were raw I would be thrilled to have them. Of course I'd love to have them slabbed by PSA also and I'd take any grade they gave. I have a v288 Charlie Conacher rookie in PSA 4 that should be a 3 and I have some plenty of other cards that are undergraded by the folks in Newport Beach.
PSA is up and down on grades and you gotta take what you get. Regardless of the grades you've got a terrific pair of cards there.
Thanks for the feedback guys, but I can tell you it's a big difference seeing these cards up close compared to a scan. They both deserve the grades. These cards scan terribly, possibly because of the plastic inserts.
The Morenz has a bit of discoloration on the right, it's not a nick. It appears as though part of that section is missing but it's not.
Joliat's corners are much better than they appear. The corners look dark in the scan but are actually white, just minor wear. Believe it or not the Joliat card looks square when in hand as opposed to rounded corners like the scan shows. Like I said scanning these cards is very tough but you have to have these 2 in your hands to appreciate the grades. Thanks.

Here's a scan of the Joliat to show the corners better. Let me know if the corners look better than the original scan. I keep getting the light reflection in the corners in every scan. Aside from the corner wear the card is practicaly flawless on the borders and the surface. Thanks.

That Joliat is not a PSA 8. Sorry Damir but the corners are not up to par - regardless of the scan. I have been able to scan many cards that are PSA 8 and the corners don't look like that.

There are no creases or wrinkles on front or back. I scanned the card through a picture frame glass. Everytime I scanned the card without it the backround would have lines. I use a scanner that I bought in 1999 and I have problems with many black and white cards. They scan better when I use a piece of glass between the scanner and the card. It's definitely time to upgrade. Thanks.
