Richard Poitras was featured today in the New York Times. He lives on Long Island (my former home) and is "one of us." He owns a set of Lord Stanley's china!! Very impressive article-"Not Quite Ice in His Veins, but Hockey in His Blood." Article describes his impressive collection. Anyone know this guy?

Wow! Hockey Hall of Fame will be keeping an eye on this guy. They'd love to have a lot of his stuff.

Living on Long Island I have full season tickets to the Rangers and also go to about 10-15 Islander games a year. If you are a Hockey fan Long Island has a great history going back to the Long Island Ducks of the Eastern Hockey Leaugue which the movie Slapshot is loosly based on. Ranger and Islander fans are one of the most passionate group of fans in Hockey. I applaud Mr. Poitras for having season tickets to both the Rangers and the Islanders. CN
