Just seeing if anyone picked up anything from the Classic Auction that ended last night?

I picked up a couple of cards, 40-41 Schmidt being the one I was most interested in. PSA2 only but the front looks great to me aside from some toning and it won't be in the holder for long in any event.

Classic Auction

There were some very nice cards in this Classic Auction and many cards weren't getting any bids until the end of the auction.

I was really interested in a few cards, but I wasn't the high bidder on any of them! Congrats to anyone who got the card they wanted!

I thought I would add my pick up . . .

It was expensive but definitely worth it! It will be part of my card collection soon. Only 2nd one to hit the autograph industry!

Andrew,

View this link for a description of who he was.

Also, since he was so young when he died there we not very many signed items of him. He also never did get to play in the NHL (died before he could make it) so his stuff is hard to come by.

Thanks for the link Paul. Sounds like football fans would be interested in his auto too. No wonder it went for that price. Congrats on the pick up!!

Thanks. The only other known autograph of his actually came from his enlistment papers. A collector back in the 60s wrote the War Department and requested his paperwork and they just sent it to him. Things work a little different now.
