1976-77 OPC #176 variation

As we've been discussing obscure 70's opc variations, I'll post just in case anyone else is interested...

1976-77 OPC Gary Simmons #176 can be found with either the "Team transfered to Colorodo" or with a smudged out version. I have no idea which is scarcer. Looks like the person who corrected the error did it at 4:55 on a Friday afternoon.

The Seals tranferred to Cleveland not Colorado / LOL

it was smudged out ~ hoping no one (or the boss) would notice / and back then, nobody did!!!

it's many years later we get to critique the screw ups

Barons

On June 14, 1978, the league granted approval for the Barons to merge with another financially troubled team, the Minnesota North Stars. The merged franchise would retain the Minnesota North Stars name, but assume the Barons' old place in the Adams Division. The Barons remain the last franchise in the four major North American sports leagues to cease operations, and as a result the NHL fielded only 17 teams during the 1978–79 season.
