Clancy & Lidstrom, what a day!

Hey guys:Yesterday started out great for me as another team in my fantasy league traded Nick Lidstrom to me. Martin Brodeur was my #1 draft pick and Brendan Morrow was my #3 and since Marty is out till late February and Morrow is out for the rest of the year I figured I might as well try to get as many of the Red Wing players that I watch all the time on my roster. I now have Lidstrom, Zetterberg, Rafalski, Cleary, Kronwall and Hossa, hurray! Then, last night on the E-bay auctions, I had bids on most of the players from the 33/34 Hamilton Gum set. I lost them all except one, a PSA 3 of King Clancy. I know most of you guys are pretty regular buyers of mostly PSA 7's and 8's but I'm very happy to get this card. Now we have to get on to the really important stuff and catch those upstarts from San Jose, right Earl. GO WINGS!

Sounds like a pretty impressive roster you have going for you Ted!! Post a scan of the Clancy when it arrives. We haven't had a Pick Up thread in a while. Congrats again.

Hamilton Gum Clancy

Congrats on the pick up!

The seller left some serious cash on the table by only listing it for US shipping. Those of us in Canada that use ebay.ca will not pick up that item in a search. Never could figure that one out - why miss out on the #1 market for hockey cards?

It's also ironic that shipping from the US to Canada is much cheaper than shipping within Canada. I just received a book from the US that cost about $2.50 US to ship to me in Ontario. I turned around and shipped it to Winnipeg in the same envelope for $9.00 CDN!

Thank you Canada Post! NOT
