The Long Lost OPC Bobby Orr rookie!

I know that I'm not supposed to discuss current auctions, but if you were thinking of bidding on this card, you can thank me later!

I noticed this auction for a Bobby Orr rookie Mint 9. The picture wasn't very good which surprised me since I have only heard of 1 Orr rookie in PSA 9. First of all, it isn't PSA, but it is graded by somebody! But the best part is the seller talks about this being his best rookie since it is one of those hard to find OPC versions! I know that I sure haven't ever seen this rare OPC version!!!!!

It sounds like the seller is a kid or something, but if you look close the label really does say OPC! I can't believe it!

Check it out...

i reported this fake to ebay.

you guys can do the same on this link.

http://contact.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ReportItemMember&items=220434099573&seller=deekster*26*&active=1&state=1

you can always report a bad item at the bottom of the seller info area were it has a flag and "report this item"

Take a look around the label. It looks like he trimmed around it and just slipped a label into it.

Orr rookie

I really can't believe that someone who would be willing to spend over $300 on a card wouldn't be more careful. I understand getting ripped off. That can happen to anyone. But a buyer should know that the Orr rookie is a Topps card!

I feel bad for the buyer, but shouldn't he know what he is buying? I reported this item to eBay also, but they didn't ever close it.

It sounds like more and more people are starting to sell crap like this and rip people off.

Hi Earl and others,
It s not that there is more people trying to steal others, it s maybe just you see and take notes of them more than before. It s always been like that, at least for the past 5 years and it will always be like that, unfortunately. Where is money, chances are that some dishonest seller will try to rip off some -newguy- on the market and/or ebay. If you re not sure or have any doubt, ask for a premium scan of the card in question, front and back. Secondly, ask the seller to describe the item as he see it. Third, keep tracking of this email conversation as it might help for refund if trouble happens. And Fourth, use your judgement. If any doubt persist after that, i suggest you stay away. Maybe you loose the best deal on the planet but odds are you made the smartest decision to stay out of trouble.
