Well I must admit I am rooting for the USA but I feel it will be very difficult to beat Canada twice on their home ice. More often than not when two strong evenly matched teams play twice they split the match up. The addittional fact that the game is in Canada only means to me that the only way USA wins is if they are truely the better overall team.
Good Luck to both - I look forward to a great game !
North America is a big winner today. Both teams can hold their heads up real high for the great hockey they have provided us.
Ryan Miller is 5-0 with a 9.54 save percentage with a 1.04 GAA.
Brian Rafalski has 8 points and is a +7.
Having Chris Drury will nuetralize the home ice advantage for Canada.
Team USA is going to be tough to overcome.
The World Juniors and the Olympics have been awesome for North American hockey this year. If Canada wins, they go home with the gold having one loss in the tournament, and the USA goes home with the silver with one loss in the tournament. If the USA wins, Canada will go home with silver having the US beating them twice in their own backyard. If that happens, then the Americans certainly earned it.
