Thought people over here should give this a read. All the evidence sure points to this seller (encapsulated_icons) doctoring up his scans of cards that he lists on ebay...I learned my lesson the hard way.

Wow! Ugly!

Especially when you look for the better centered cards.

Very sad to see how low some people are willing to go sad.gif
This seller is on my black list for sure.
I hope his victims put negative feedbacks and complain to eBay.
To me, such a practice should be punished, he's a cheater...

I have never had any problems when dealing with (encapsulated_icons).He has always been honest and straightforward. We should not let inconsistent scans, caused from the scanners themselves ruin the reputation of a fellow collector.

Yes, let's blame a deceiving scan on a faulty scanner.

It sounds like a good reason.

My question is, has anyone contacted this seller regarding this issue? I have seen his auctions on eBay, but I don't recall if I have purchased anything from him.

I don't buy the scanner excuse. The scanner wouldn't choose one part of the image to alter at random, and new technology has improved the reliability of scanners to make them even more accurate than before.

Definitely a disturbing thread!

No need to tamper the scan

PSA grading standard are tampered by their own people!

Another PSA graded card that would need doctoring

I know grading a card is not a perfect science but doesn't it look
obvious the centering does not make the 8 cut?
