Crossing BVG cards to PSA

I'm sure this has been discussed here before, but I need to ask about this.

There are some 1969 OPC cards on eBay graded BVG 9. They aren't absolutely rare or anything, but I haven't been able to find them in PSA 8 or better for my set. The seller has very good feedback, but I'm not personally familiar with him.

Could these be sheet cut cards? Does anyone have experience crossing BVG cards over to PSA?

yeah, there always is a reason it's not in a PSA holder

I have had 50% luck with crossing BVG, after cracking them out.....a 1966 Topps 8.5 came back a PSA 9, however a 1969 OPC was refused 3 times by PSA as evidence of trimming aka, too perfect for their liking....not sure if this helps or no.....

Perhaps ask the seller why he chose BVG to grade these cards in the face of overwhelming support in the marketplace for PSA????

I have a few raw 1969 OPC cards that were refused because they didn't meet the minimum size requirement. I called PSA and they say that this doesn't mean that there is evidence of trimming, just that the card is a fraction smaller than it should be. I worry about getting stuck with the same thing in a BVG holder. There really isn't any way of judging this by the scan.

If the cards are from Martin Sportscards I woould be very careful. Chances are they are sheet cut and will not cross to PSA.

evid of trimming vs min size requirements

HI EArl, yes, I've had a handful of legit 1968 opc's come back "not min size" and not much you can do about it....my 69 which was from a BVG holder definitely came back "evid of trimming" more than once, ...I think 3 times....so I gave up on trying to submit it
