If you check the back of the card and use the zoom feature, does anyone
else notice that the print has faded to an even unnoticeable state on the
bottom right hand corner ?

Notice also there is light staining on the bottom right reverse.

Has the card been soaked to take out an even bigger stain ? and in the process has lost some of the printing ? because the rest of the printing on the back looks ok.

I have looked over a lot of quaker oats cards over the years and have never seen a card lose its printing on the back.

I wanted to bid on this card, but am a little apprehensive right now.

55-56 Parkie Oats # 79

How does this receive a 7 with the centering? It would have to be a 9 oc to get a 7 outright and in my opinion that is not the case. What do others think?

The card appears to never have had the ink in the area in question in the first place.(not that uncommon)

If you look at the rectangular box line just to the right and below "QUAKER TRADING CARD" you'll notice a gradual fading consistent with lack of pressure or ink being applied to the area. It would be next to impossible to soak or erase a one inch area of a card, not to mention ~ re create the gradual fading as shown in the green line and text of the QTC and get that past PSA. ~ NO WAY!!!

The card front is an absolute beauty and well deserving of the grade, regardless of the flaw on the back. imo

I can see the light stain and and ink fading on the back but it's not that bad. It's consistant with other grade 7 I've seen and I don't think the card has been soaked or anything like that. As for the front, I don't think it deserves an o/c and is in fact pretty decent for this particular card very hard to find centered.

It's fun to see people's comment on their own cards beeing severely graded, but how generous the grades are on other peoples cards!

We had the same conversation about the Quaker Oats Plante RC PSA7 from the same seller a while back. I think this card is better than the Plante for the same grade, but the price is another story...

I just broke the KSA8 holder of a Quaker Gardens card that I bought for far less and will send it in for PSA grading, hoping for a 7 or 7.5 return. We'll see...

I agree that this card is better then the Plante psa 7.
I think that Plante just sold for 8k at auction.

Thanks for your input guys. I am not going to bid even though
this is one heck of a tough card. The front is a beauty, but the
back leaves me wondering.

Another seller trying to get Near Mint price for a otherwise poor looking card with zero eye appeal. What else is new.

The seller would have been better off starting the bid at 99 cents and have a reserve of $3000 ... just to start getting some attention and get a better idea of what people would be willing to pay.
