most of the stuff I see have ridiculous BIN or starting prices for the stuff I collect, 1969 OPC? Anybody else notice the same, or are you still able to add to your collections?

Yes it is dead for 1969 o-pee-chee hockey.
Most collectors are holding their cards.
And those Mastro sheets had to run out eventually.
If the Mastro sheets are all but done being cut and placed into PSA holders, then
it will eventually come down to all the owners of those cards either holding or selling.
Right now there are no sellers.

You are completely right, especially for 1969 OPC. I see the same cards every week with the same BIN prices. It has been very tough for me to pick up any cards lately. The only cards I have bought lately haven't been from eBay.
It used to be that I saw more cards that I could afford, but now I have a hard time finding a card that I need! I keep telling myself that I need to focus on a 2nd set so that I don't have to wait so long to find something I want.
Ebay seems okay to me. I think it all depends on what set you are working on. There are fewer auctions all the time and more BIN's but I am still finding some cards I need.

Certain sellers in Canada are selling off-line before placing them on eBay. Once a card, PSA 9/10 card, has been sold to everyone off-line, usually the POP 7 or 8, then it hits eBay. Where is my evidence? Check the serial numbers out and you'll be able to figure it out. hint: PSA: Set Registry and check photos. Some of you are willing to pay anything to get a PSA 9 or 10. No GST/provincial taxes plus certain advantages for the seller which I won't get into. Thus I have not been able to add to my 1969 OPC hockey set. If I have, it has been sure luck. Sour grapes, yes,l'll take the flack since I've have been collecting this set since 2002. If I'm wrong, let'er rip and throw me under the bus!

- Yeah ... so what ~ good for them.
- Buying a higher pop and selling the lower pop, makes sound sense to me.
Selling off-line with someone you can trust, while avoiding the on-line fees makes sense to me. ~ This site even has a BST section. Whats the big deal ??
The BIN section is growing by leaps and bounds, but that is only because collectors are buying at the (mostly) bloated prices. If we all have patience then you will see more in the auction section. I have not bought any BIN items but I am still able to add to my collections. If you are only looking for graded cards then the BIN section is a godsend for you because the people selling the graded cards have a huge variation in prices for cards of the same grade.....If you wait for the right opportunity. If you have no patience then you are doomed my friend to pay the big buck for any item. Collecting isn't a race it is a semi-relaxing hobby LOL >>>>> unless you get out bid by some SOB that you know is only running up the price or he isnt really a collector ...or he doesnt even really want that item....orrr orrrrr orrrrr Like I said semi relaxing

Bryan,
I have picked up a few cards lately and I do have some doubles that you might be interested in. Send me a message and let me know the name of your set on the Registry and I'll let you know if I have anything that you can use.
It seems like there are a bunch of people actively working on the 1969 OPC set, so that does make it tough. You can check my set and let me know if you have any doubles that I might be able to use too.
Send me a message and we can talk about 1969 OPC Hockey.
