Another WWI movie that wasn't included but should have been is Paths of Glory starring Kirk Douglas and was directed by Stanley Kubrick. It is an absolutely mesmerizing anti-war statement, as the French army is getting ready to execute three of its own men, to make an example out of them for the rest of the army. I'm really disappointed it was left off the list.
