a few movies that recieve praise that shouldn't...
Platoon - This seemed good when it first came out, but it's overly preachy tone and almost laughably bad acting now make it extremely faux and clicheed.
sands of iwo jima - all john wayne movies are jingoistic nonsense. this one lacks originality as well.
flags of our fathers - a good book, a failed film
