This is very close to where I live. I don't think I'm in any danger, but you just never know. Please keep the families in your thoughts and prayers as we endure yet another natural disaster.
I'm really concerned about the air quality. I'm not too concerned about the fire coming closer as where the school is, as well as where I live, there's not that much brush. Which is a good thing. I'm going to keep calling the kids school, because either way, I think it would be a good idea to post a message on the school's website whether or not there will be school.
The kids school never closed. They did however have a rainday schedule today. The kids were not allowed to go outside to play, and when school let out, they kept the children in the classrooms. The parents had to go to the door to get their children. We are still in the midst of the fires. Have some friends who did evacuate because the fire was just getting to close to their house.
