I am training for almost 35 years now all kinds off martial arts.
True Internet Ive got realy confused about all the supplementary stuff that people say you have to do.
Right now I am very into JKD and then try to train for real streetfight.
When you think about that you can much off the things yuo have learned trow away.
You dont need high kicks or fancy moves.
So when you think about that you dont have to warm-up before training to because you dont have the time to do that in a streetfight to.
You dont have to do flexibility exercises because the only thing you have to do is to kick at the groin, knee-caps or shin.
And you dont have to do any strengthtraining because you have to be fast, aggresive and have technique.
Witht these all said you have to train most off the time your techniques.
What do you guys think about all this?
Streetfights are very diffent then MMA or sparring. So all these strenghtroutines etc. are, when you look at the things above, just a waist off time and you can spend you time better on things that relay work and perfect that.
But I think for your dayly live some kind off strength and some kind off flexibility can be good and the change that you end up in a streetfight is maybay not so often.
So when there are people outthere who thinks the same I am very curious about how there routine looks like. |
