A..Kind of the same situation here in the desert for the last 3 days; the pic below says it all. I watched the anvil develop right outside my work window. I was looking forward to some good drama shots by quitting time . But..the process ran out of steam, literally. Not enough moisture in the atmosphere put an end to the development and the anvil just dissipated back into the wind blown atmosphere. So..we get afternoon temps back into the 110f plus range for awhile until that very heat acts like a pump and pulls up the monsoon sopp from down south...which I see is experiencing a tropical storm/ hurricane. So it shouldn't be long before we get our butts kicked once again...yippie ky yay..
