All that stratus lifted today (though some of it came back down later), we had a rain shower, and then the most wonderful sunset as a reward for waiting patiently.

Anita, How beautiful , a break from the gray with a colorful sunset! The tree in the 2nd shot reaches, like the nerves in a fingertip, touches the wet light of low clouds draped in dusk.

We've had a sunny day today with stratus well and truly cleared and lots of interesting cloud 'streets' parading across the blue, including a large pair of slippers. You will have to take my word on that as we were travelling and I was unable to use my camera. I also missed a shot of the paragliders who were making full use of today's thermals in the Lake District. And it's only March!
