Sun Pillar

Hi Everyone,

Whilst sun pillars are extremely common for most people, for some reason I see very few of them; I'm not sure why this is. However, at the end of a very hazy day in which the painful glare was turned up to ten, I got this nice upper sun pillar,

Nice photos!
I will be looking out for sun pillars tonight, and the alignment of venus, jupiter and the crescent moon. Looks like clear skies are more or less guaranteed

Great colour on that one, and I see you even got a mini contrail in the shot for added interest happy.gif
Either there wasn't a sun pillar here, or it happened when someone phoned and I wasn't looking.
