I have just received a personal email direct from FIAT Turin!!

Since this is an entirely new and (I have to admit, shockingly) unexpected development, I really don't want to reveal too much yet, but I had to let you know about that much at least. I am communicating with very friendly and apparently quite interested people of significant (!) involvement with THE X1/99 PROJECT (some impressive stuff!!)

I have to tell you honestly, I damn near fell out of my chair when I opened my email today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again I don't want us to go crazy here, the dialogue is just beginning, so as for all of our hopes, dreams and suggested revisions etc, don't get all worked up just yet, okay? We're just talking. But WE ARE TALKING and that is something I thought you should be let in on ASAP.

I will reveal more details when it seems more appropriate to do so
