Response to May 2003 Accidents/Rescues

NEAR SNOQUALMIE SUMMIT - 21-year-old Matt Vincent went hiking on Wednesday. He was supposed to return home to Gig Harbor Friday.

Somewhere between now and then a freak snowstorm hit, and he never made it out.

But this story has a happy ending because of Matt's pre-planning.

He left behind detailed plans about his trip and let his family know exactly where he planned to camp.
