We sincerely appreciate all of your responses. You have made it much easier to make these plans while we're away from home.
We'll probably take three days rather than two and just drive a little harder to make it back home on time for the rest of our plans. Dollar Lake sounds like a great campsite; but we have other options now in case it's too full. (Given our relatively late hour of arrival, I assume that this is a possibility.)
Not too sure about our route yet; I guess we'll just see what the road looks like while we're going. But now we do have maps and ideas on what to do and what not to do. Thanks again, y'all.
