Response to GC
The Grand Canyon was thought to have been caused by millions of years of erosion because those who believed in uniformism wanted long periods of time to justify their position. Progressive geologists now have come to the conclusion that the GC was mostly likely caused during a very short time period. They now theorize a hugh lake, about the size of three States broke through a natural dam and sculpted out the GC in a matter of weeks.
Please provide sources (websites, publications) of these "progressive" geologists. I'd also like to note evidence of this vast lake. Are you sure these "progressive" geologists aren't formulating (fabricating?) some explanation that fits the creation of the GC into a world view that adheres to a shorter (< 6K years) history?
Evidence can be such a pesky thing.
