Easily accessed by: The Long Trail and Appalachian Trail, via Route 4, almost 9 miles east from the intersection of Routes 4 and 7 in Rutland (near the Inn at Long Trail).

Interesting factoid: Killington hosts the highest lodge on the Long Trail. In 1939, the Vermont Forest Service and the Civilian Conservation Corps built the Cooper Lodge at 3,850 feet above sea level.
