Elizabeth Smart was found, the Ten Commandments in the Alabama Supreme Court was lost and gay marriage was approved in Massachusetts. Rush gets axed from ESPN, then admits to drug use. Jayson Blair made headlines for making up the news in the New York Times, while the story of Aron Ralston - the hiker who freed himself by amputating his right arm - just seemed made up.
