LIVERMORE, CO - Firefighters have ordered residents of the Bonner Peak Ranch subdivision to evacuate.

“We’re evacuating the entire subdivision,” said Jim Harrington, the assistant fire chief for the Livermore Fire Department. Harrington drove along a dirt road that winds through the 80-home subdivision telling residents and others to leave.

The Picnic Rock Fire in Poudre Canyon exploded overnight to 1,800 acres, officials said. A Type II team has taken over management of the fire, which is moving north and is closing in on the Bonner Peak subdivision.
