Trip Report

Arrived in Ruston on April 17 for a summit attempt on the 18th. We got an early start to avoid the fierce afternoon thunderstorms on the summit. It was foggy at 7 am but we could easily see the trail. The Winger directions are right on, we had no problems reaching the trailhead or getting off trail. The summit area was well maintained and the little monument on the summit seems to keep growing! How high can we pile those rocks?

We left the church parking lot at about 8:20 and there was no activity at the church then. It did not appear to be regularly used.

This was number 18 for me.
