Response to Another Hood Accident

Rick Hartman passes this along from Club Member Tom Hillman who survived the 2002 Hood disaster
--------

Dear Family and Friends,

Here is the new version of the National Geograhic Channel of the Mt. Hood reinactment filmed last August. I was part of the 3- day filming. Even though we were on Mt. Hood, the filming was done on the lower Ski area. Many humerous "tricks" were used to make things appear real. My favorite was the leaf blower and hand thrown snow off camera to sumulate the helicopter rotor wash. Also very entertaining was the moment when one of the rescue people asked me (as most of the participants were actor's) "You sure look like Tom Hillman" at which I replied: "Yes people tell me that...". All in all I am glad I went back and could have a experience that was positive and got to first hand get to know my rescuers and share my gratefullness with them.

Blessings!

Tom
