Response to November 2004 Accidents/Rescues

Revelstoke -- A 32-year-old Alberta man is dead after an ice-climbing accident at Yoho National Park on the B.C.-Alberta boundary.

The RCMP say he fell during his approach to the Carlsberg Column.

He was stabilized on the scene by his climbing partner, who then left to get help, and was moved to Foothills Hospital in Calgary, where he died. CP
