GRAND MARAIS, Mich. A 76-year-old Grand Marais woman has been rescued after getting stranded while hiking near Lake Superior.
Authorities were contacted when the woman didn't return after hiking Sunday afternoon.
The Coast Guard was called in and an air rescue crew found her at about 1:30 Monday morning.
She was hoisted to safety on a stretcher.
Authorities say she was cold, but appeared to be in good condition. She was treated and released from the hospital.
