There's lots of political points out there -- with Four Corners (NM/UT/AZ/CO intersection) immediately coming to mind. There's a whole group obsessed with them.

There's a ton of survey points of prominence including various boundaries of Washington, DC, and survey points starting with the Northwest Territories (Ohio, et al) that established the country's surveying grid system.

This argument gives credance to my argument that Oklahoma would probably be better suited to target our energies for Longacre Point (I don't like apostraphes).
