We went up Gannett on August 9th. The snowbridge was fine. Still many weeks left in it. Given all the reports of it "will be gone tomorrow" we expected something we would have to crawl accross at best. It was huge compared to our expectations. A guide from one of the commercial outfits also said that it has weeks left in it. The snow above it was soft and so going up the crux was easy. So was the Gannett ridge. Really great conditions.
We backpacked up across Boney Pass on August 10th and there were happy, but tired, people coming back from Gannett on that day too.
