There's a well-known Mount Baldy in eastern AZ (well-known to Arizonans, I mean) that has some plane wreckage - WWII vintage - about 2 miles below the summit, a thousand feet down.
There's also a Mt. Baldy in California (HP or Los Angeles County, official name Mt San Antonio), and another in west Texas (HP of Jeff Davis County, official name Livermore Peak). I'm sure there's more; it's the generic name for mountains, like Fido for dogs, First National for banks, etc.
Humphreys also has some wreckage, quite a bit of it, about 1,500 feet down its west face. There's most of a whole wing still there.
So... where is this Mt Baldy???
