Hiking Gannet 'eh? I've heard about doing that, but it can be dangerous if things are icy or the crevasses are open. Wouldn't Gannet really be more of a hike+"climb" since crampons and ropes are occasionally needed?

I can see why CA is left out- if permits weren't secured already, it might be hard to get a group > 1 person up the mountain on any given weekend this coming season. At least via the trail from the portal.

I don't see why TX would be left out though?
