and Rod are right behind you. Perhaps your paths crossed. They left Friday, October 13 from Wisconsin and I talked to Ed on his cell phone yesterday. They are doing IN, OH, PA, MD, WV, VA, NC, SC, GA, TN, and KY. He was driving down the Blue Ridge Parkway after visiting the Mount Mitchell parking lot and gift shop. He tried to talk somebody there into escorting him to the NC highpoint, but they refused. It was very foggy with no views. The stone observation tower is torn down.
