GREENSBORO -- News that Michael Auberry, the 12-year-old Boy Scout
, was found alive Tuesday was a prayer answered off St. Francis Road.
"There are not words that can describe it," said Lea Beuchler, who lives next door to the Auberry family.
Michael Auberry was found alive shortly before 11 a.m. near the primitive camp site where he was reported missing, said Tina White, spokeswoman for the National Park Service
"He is weak but in good condition," White said. "Because he is weak he will be transported on a vehicle off these trails."
The boy was taken to another location where he will be reunited with his family and debriefed, White said in a news conference.
Officials hope to learn what the boy was doing since he disappeared while on a Boy Scout camping trip Saturday in northwest North Carolina.
